THE CELTIC PLAYERS
MUSIC FOR A FAERE DAY

This is a tape of the 1988 -1989 trio of Brahm and Deirdre Stuart on fiddle, guitar, mandolin and vocals with Patricia Brady on bodhran, tin whistle and voice. A delightful collection of traditional music and ballads, tastefully varied from high energy fiddle reels to mournful whistle aires and warm three-part vocal harmonies. The trio was recorded live at Brooklyn College, and it sures sounds like it was one hot session. This tape was made chiefly to represent "The Celtic Players as they performed those summers at the New York Renaissance Fair and includes Irish jigs & reels, a Scottish fling set, and Brahm's original setting of True Thomas and the Queen of Elfland.
