The Forest of my Dreams

by Brahm Stuart

In the forest of my dreams there are trees so brilliant greens so bright,
The grass so soft it seems that I could walk all day and dance all night,
The air's so fresh and clean that I could breathe so deep and fill my body
With the vibrant splendor of that magic forest light.
In the forest of my dreams there are birds of many colors in the branches of the trees,
Softly singing songs that mingle with the buzzing of the bees,
As the crickets drone the undertones, the voice of Mother Nature
In the forest of my dreams.
In the forest of my dreams there is music every morning as a fair elven queen
Comes singing followed by her band of elven minstels keen,
Playing flutes and strings, their music rings and floods with light the forest,
In the forest of my dreams.

In the forest of my dreams only loving thoughts may enter through that magic leafy screen,
For the watchers of the forest are powerful indeed,
And there is no place for those who waste the magic of the forest
In the forest of my dreams.
In the forest of my dreams
Gurgles from the ground a flowing spring, I drink to my heart's ease,
As I splash the water soothing to my face and feel the breeze,
Ah, to smell the living fragrances and see the many flowers
In the forest of my dreams.
In the forest of my dreams, in the breathing electricity that oozes from the leaves,
There's a magnetism 'bout the place, unearthly does it seem,
The eyes of mortals rarely see the hidden inner beauty In the forest of my dreams.

In the forest of my dreams there is always joy and laughter,
There's no death nor disease,
Every face is young and beautiful beneath those mighty trees,
The shade of evil has not fallen on this Earthly paradise, the forest of my dreams.
In the forest of my dreams
Magic rays of golden power filter down between the leaves,
From the Sun's pulsating power in the clearings can be seen,
As he glides across the boundless sky
Embracing all creation in the forest of my dreams.
In the forest of my dreams
Where the immortal ones they walk sometimes beneath those arching trees,
And to be with them and feel inside the depths which they must see
Oh, there's so much work that must be done before I'll really realize
The forest of my dreams.
