Son of a Son

by Brahm Stuart

I was born the way we all were born,
I was from my mother's body torn,
I came into this world so brave,
With the body that my parent's gave;

I was born the way we all were born,
I was from my mother's body torn,
My parents raised and cherished me with love,
I was sent to them from God above.

I am the son of a son of a son of a son of a son,
I am the son of a daughter
Of a son of a daughter of a son.

My ma was born the way we all were born,
She was from her mother's body torn,
Her parents raised and cherished her with love,
She was sent to them from God above;

My pa was born the way we all were born,
He was from his mother's body torn,
His parents raised and cherished him with love,
He was sent to them from God above.

He was the son of a son of a son of a son of a son,
He was the son of a daughter
Of a son of a daughter of a son.

Through the years and centuries past untold,
Our sons and daughters parents did unfold,
The bodies that we're now the owners of
Are the products of a long line of love;

Through the years and centuries yet to come
, Our descendants will be thankful for the love,
As we in turn should also thankful be,
For these fruits of this Human Family Tree.

I am the son of a son of a son of a son of a son,
I am the son of a daughter
Of a son of a daughter of a son.
